Gardens

Gardens are a form of therapy by providing places that engage our senses. For some, it is the toiling and the process of creation that satisfies. For others, it is the fragrance that comes from brushing against lavender and agastache while walking on a path. Still, for others, it is listening to the grasses rustling in the wind or watching hummingbirds play tag. And, of course, there is nothing better than a sun-ripened tomato picked from a vine in your own backyard. So, think about what you want to create and let us craft it for you.

Fragrance Gardens

Imagine walking in your garden from spring to fall filled with never ending fragrance. It begins with spring blooming bulbs such as hyacinths and daffodils, and is followed by lilac, Cheyenne mock orange, and Boulder raspberry bushes. You can also enjoy sweet pea and honeysuckle vines and regal lily about this time. It continues with iris, dianthus, and, of course, roses such as Victorian Memory and Hansa. Lavender, Agastache cana with a double bubble gum scent or  rupestris with a licorice scent, and Russian sage follow along with sweet autumn clematis.

Rock gardens are an ideal method for cultivating mountain flora and for beautifying sloped, sunny,  and rocky terrain. They can be an attractive addition to a xeriscape garden. The plants are small and have a long bloom time. Among these are stonecrops, columbine, phlox, and rockrose. Many garden plants such as roses, irises, and primroses have alpine cousins. There are even dwarf forms of hosta and daphne.
